Over 1,100 people in Mullingar helped back into work by Seetec
Seetec has confirmed it helped over 1,100 people in Mullingar and surrounding areas into full-time and part-time employment through the JobPath service on behalf of Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP).
On the 22nd February, business partners from Westmeath joined Seetec staff as well as Mr Peter Burke T.D at a celebratory function.
The event was hosted at Seetec’s Mullingar centre and coincided with figures released showing the Mullingar team has helped 906 people in the community secure full-time employment and 234 people into part-time work.
Seetec is contracted by the DEASP to deliver the JobPath service which aims to help the long-term unemployed back into work. It supports service users with careers guidance, self-employment advice, CV support, as well as interview and I.T training. Its Mullingar office has so far partnered with more than 600 businesses in the area.
John Jackon, Business Manager for Seetec Mullingar, said: “We’ve worked hard to become a valuable part of the community here in Mullingar. It’s very satisfying to be able to make a real impact in our customers’ lives and also to provide an important service to businesses throughout the area. Our hard working staff are fully focused on continuing to make this contribution.”
Tom Griffith, owner of Sercheck Industrial Ireland in Mullingar, said: “Our recruitment requirements tend to be for Engineering skills and are therefore quite specialised.
